im trying to clean things up but scared on what to uninstall ot start or stop services
like when u say online connection what would that normally say in msconfig startup programs and what about services

If your unsure and still have your discs with factory settings. Save everything as back up ( all files, folders, docs) any other apps you may have aquired since your bought your machine. Then just reset your laptop back to factory settings. That way anything that was on there before will be wiped and you can start afresh
NOTE: Any apps you have added, make sure you still have the discs for before restoring
