Cat has cut paw? Help please?
Hey my cat came in from the garden today and I noticed he was not putting weight on one of his front paw I looked at it more closely and noticed he had a cut on one of the little pads on the bottom of the paw. I called the vet and they said it won't be serious so I should take him tomorrow, that's what i'm doing, but since he has to wait until then, is there anything I can do to make it more comfortable for him?

Dissolve a spoonful of salt in warm water and try to dip his paw in it for as long as he'll let you. There are few finder disinfectants for wounds, and out vet always used to recommend this.

Bathe his paw in tepid salted water, this helps prevent infection and helps wounds heal and many vets use this method, and it is safe for your cat, do it now and whenever he has used his litter to keep it clean, salted water will bring relief for him too.

clean it and wrap it with gauze. it might feel better for him if he doesn't have to walk on the exposed wound.
