How do I go about suggesting a "Newlyweds" category to Yahoo answers?

The marriage and divorce section is mainly about negative stuff.

We need a section where newlyweds can get together and learn new things about getting into the married life, planning for house, finances, baby, decorating, cooking...but all lumped into one section titled "Newlyweds."

Should I get a whole bunch of yahoo answers members to agree with me on this? Us marrieds need somewhere to go and we shouldn't be lumped in one category with divorced people. That's like having the wedding section with divorce. It just isn't right.

I'm not super hot on the idea of a newlyweds category, it is already covered under the marriage category, but maybe the separation of divorce and marriage. I do see how that could be a problem, a good deal of bitter people in that section, the odd time one of them will come to the weddings category and tell us how stupid we are to even think of getting married, so can't imagine its too fun being a newlywed over there.

PS: Congratulations on your new marriage!

Even splitting the marriage and divorce section won't do it. Most of those questions ARE marital questions...they're just about cheating and problems. It's not often that you actually see a question about divorce that would go in the divorce category. Most of them would all go into the marriage category.

I think they'd make the section if enough people wanted the section. I think it'd be a good improvement. Married people who've been married for 5+ years are different from newlyweds. That's just is how it is. Yes, they can offer advice. But at the same time, they can't really put themselves back into the newlywed mindset.

You'd probably have to make a case that there are a lot of newlywed questions that dont fit in other categories. There is already a baby and finance sections for example.

No, Marriage and divorce together makes sense to me. And often, people who have been married a long time can give the best advice to newlyweds. Also, advice from a divorced person can be useful as well because you can learn things to avoid.

there's other websites for that. I think the subject matter is pretty slim. weddingwire.com has forums for that kind of stuff, and there's always thenest.com. I don't see how being a newlywed is any different from being single or married for years, for me it's just smooth sailing.

confident as I even have noted countless situations beforehand. in case you form in 2012 in he seek for questions field you will see that the form of situations that query has been asked is as much as 7,089 situations. . it is have been given to be some form of record. . Up there with: . "why do kamikaze pilots placed on helmets?" . "how do I replace right into a pilot and how plenty money will I make?" . "if the black field on a airplane is indestructible why do not they make the full airplane out of a similar ingredient?" .

I honestly don;t see the point as there are categories for every thing you list: finance, baby, home improvement and decorating, cooking etc.

There is a website just for newlyweds, it is thenest.com (spin-off of theknot.com).

    Good luck
