Why do Republicans think that CEO employment contracts are valid, but public employee contracts are not?
When the banks failed, Republicans said that bank CEO's employment contracts couldn't be re-written to deny them bonuses and that a contract is a contract is a contract and the government can't just rewrite them at will.
Now they complain that teacher's contracts should be voided and re-negotiated because they aren't fair.
Why the about face?
The bonuses weren't sustainable either. So that argument fails.
So the government can tear up its own contracts at will? That won't work and you know it.

Oh, the hypocrisy! Teachers are less likely to donate to Republican campaigns to the same degree as CEOs.

That's right, and the situation in WI is no different. When those contracts expire, however, they won't be able to renegotiate.
The government could rewrite contracts at will. And when it does, no one will have faith in the US legal system.

Big D, and i suspect that D, stands for dope. Let me educate you. This one is so easy. CEO's get their pay from private companies, right? They do good, they get their bonus. Teachers get their pay from the citizens paying the taxes. Right? When there is NO more money in the state coffers to be collectively bargained out of, they cant get their raises. Simple. Remember, State employees make, on average $120,000. Per year, as opposed to private sector teachers making$60,000. Capiche?

CEO's are private companies, where the government has no in the contract
Public employees are contracting directly with the government itself.
EDIT- the bonuses were private money. you still don't get it.

who is saying they aren't valid....they just aren't sustainable.
That is the whole point of Scott Walker's move to get rid of collective bargaining. Unions have the government's balls in a vice and its bad for the taxpayers. Good Work Governor Walker!!
