When i put on liquid foundation, it looks...?
Like my skin is flaking. No matter how much I rub, dab, pat, or try to blend it always shows marks or simply doesn't cover and create a flawless look. It gets worse when I powder. I have considered pan stick but don't want to waste money if all I need to change is technique. I have just started with makeup...perhaps it'll get better with practice?
Side question...no matter how I try I can't block my brows. I use gluestick and get a reasonably smooth effect but my strawberry blonde brows are visible no matter what. I've tried various layers of powder and even talcum but the dark always shows up. Help?

Ok, try these: :)
1) Get a good liquid foundation. I think that this is the one beauty product worth the extra splurge to buy a good brand over any old drugstore kind. A good foundation will work with your skin well (cover imperfections, but isn't thicker than necessary), won't irritate your skin, and be the ideal shade (if the shade is too light, even by a little, it can look flakey).
2) Put moisturizer before you apply foundation.
3) Use a foundation sponge to apply the foundation, if you don't already. Dampen the sponge a little with water.
4) Put a small amount of foundation (you don't need a lot). Start in the middle (nose and forehead) and work outward.
5) Cover this with a little powder foundation and massage it in a little.
For your eyebrows, try just going to a professional and have them lightened or dyed. You can try it at home, but it's always best to trust the pros.
Hope this helps. :)

the most important element to ascertain about utilising foundation is that a lot less is more advantageous! in my view at the same time as it contains masking up blemishes and pimples, I first commence of with a freshly wiped clean face, and ascertain you moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! After moisturizing, use a foundation primer. i take advantage of Rimmel London restoration & appropriate foundation Primer to decrease the wffects of huge pores. In my own journey, mineral make up has worked more advantageous constructive for me, so a thoughts as masking blemishes, in basic terms ascertain you're utilising the finest type of coverage brush. party, F]for complete coverage, use an complete coverage mineral foundation brush. Swirl and tap the further powder off, and buff the muse in circles. If utilising liquid foundation, ascertain it extremely is the finest journey on your epidermis tone. follow a similar steps with moisterizing and priming, then you definitely choose to warmth the muse up on your epidermis. Take a touch, placed it on the back aspect of your hand, and rub it in gently with 2 palms. Use a similar 2 palms to commence appling the product, from the middle of your face then out. Buff in small circles for max coverage. And for both mineral and liquid foundations, use a veil or bronzer after. It brings a effective glow on your epidermis, without the cakey greasy seem.

I had this problem, it was because I had dry skin.
It's not as bad now, I put a moisturizer on before the foundation, I exfoliate when it gets really flaky, and try to wash the make-up off at night (I have a bad habit of not washing it off, I find it makes my skin dry if I leave it on overnight), I also try not to wash my face with soap. Probably try to drink lot of water too.
hope this helps :)
Also, if you don't have dry skin maybe its the type of foundation your using!

You need to moisturize your skin, thats why it's flaky and showing up underneith your foundation. Try using a base before you apply your makeup and to always moisturize, expecially if you're applying that much to your skin.
You can tint your eyebrows, or wax and pluck them to a good thin shape so they're easier to block.
Hope this helps!

You're skin might be dry, you might need to try a moisturizer.
If not, then just try a new foundation.
