What is 7.1 in fraction form?

the 7.1 has a bar over the 1, which means that the 1 is continuous.

    7 1/9 as a mixed number or 64/9 as an improper fraction

    Without the repeating decimals, it's 7 1/10, but you said it has repeating decimals, and 0.11111... repeating is equivalent to 1/9.

    7.1; move the decimal one place to the right to make 71. Now simply put it over 10

    7.1 = 71/10

    let x = 7.1111111111....

    then 10x = 71.111111111....

    substrat the first from the second

    10x - x = 71.1111111... - 7.11111111...

    9x = 64

    x = 64/9

    64/9 = 7.1111111111....
