Defining young children is the key here. 3-13 might be a terrifying experience as animals are out in the pasture and grazing. The actual slaughter house effect of killing, would be about the same as a PG rating for violence on TV.

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the study that proclaims "meat-eaters" are afraid to take young children on a slaughter house tour. In addition, I'm not that aware of many slaughter houses offering public tours, or at least they aren't advertised very heavily in my area anyway.

Your recent fascination with vegetarianism leads me to believe that you have recently converted to that lifestyle. That's wonderful for you if that's your thing. Personally, if I were to adopt that lifestyle, I believe I would try very hard to avoid some kind of holier-than-thou attitude about it. Eat what you want, it's your business.

We are afraid that too many young males would enjoy the experience and not study, but engage in more anti-social activity. Let's face it, people who are prone to become vegetarians will become vegetarians and meat-eaters will become meat-eaters. Showing slaughter houses changes the minds of only a few people, while others make more money advertising that they are more humane slaughterers.

The children might want to eat meat to often. Before I was in the first grade, slaughtering chickens and hogs was a family project. We had to slaughter and cut up the meat quickly in order to avoid allowing the meat to spoil. In the end, I learned to appreciate the source of our meat and I have always enjoyed eating meat. If you knew about how potatoes, rice, and other produce items are fertilized, you could end up preferring to eat meat. One more thing, although making sausages is not a pleasant experience, it could never equal to the ugly processes used to make laws or wrangle business deals. In the end, just like child birth, after all of the unpleasant challenges have passed; eating meat, produce, and sausages is an essential source of nutrition for us to pass laws, do our business, and enjoy our children. You might come down to reality if you have a hamburger at McDonald's today.

I actually did tour a slaughter house as a child. We saw the whole process of leather production. But then again, I grew up in a poor farming community, so the vast majority of us were already old hats at that sort of thing. My family raised meat rabbits when I was little. You really think a few cows getting shot in the brain compared to watching a rabbit decapitated with a hatchet? Ah, you rich city vegetarians crack me up.

Would you have young children touring a human waste processing plant? Why not, if it's perfectly normal and natural? Let's face it, some things in life are necessary, but not pretty.

Also remember that your judgment of meat eaters assures you one thing... that you will eventually reincarnate as a meat eater because clearly you are having a tough time with this lesson.

Like vegetarians would not fear young children touring a slaughter house too?

Same reason, violence and slaughter may cause psychological harm.

a million) particular, i've got seen surprising vids of slaughter homestead horrors 2) If i became hungry sufficient, and notably if I had teenagers to feed, i could kill an animal for food without hesitation. 3) relies upon on the beef: chicken is definitely accomplished, yet solid steaks i like medium uncommon. FYI, our digestive tracks are that of omnivores - longer than herbivores, yet shorter than carnivores. 4) mutually because it must be academic for little ones to work out the place their food comes from, it may be kinda like taking them to a waste processing plant to work out the place their poop is going. enable's settle for it, some issues are grotesque yet mandatory. each and each creature that comes into life consumes different residing issues. we can't stay to tell the tale lifeless food. plant life have existence yet their existence is seen as much less considerable, in spite of the shown fact that i'm uncertain why... existence is existence. particular, there are humane the thank you to handle animals that are bred for food and it may be great if everybody had that variety of admire for all residing issues. Earth is a college and we are here to check, however the classes are no longer constantly relaxing or basic. perhaps the toughest pill for humanity to swallow is that each and every thing, even the undesirable issues, ensue for a reason, and as a result have which potential and cost. The very thought of "suitable & incorrect" is a topic of this realm... previous it, it has no which potential.

Because it's not someplace you would bring a child. A slaughterhouse tour wouldn't allow children anyway. Besides, I doubt there are any factory tours. Insurance companies don't allow it because they run the risk of someone falling and suing. It's just not worth it.

Your question assumes facts not in evidence. Lately you've been on this vegetarian kick. Which is fine, but pointless. Humans are omnivores, we are evolved/designed to eat anything.
