Would you sacrifice 6 years of your life to become extremely attractive?
Another question gave me the idea. Men versus women. I'm hypothesizing more women will say yes versus men.
If you had to cut 6 years off your life expectancy, but in return would become utterly beautiful, would you consider it? (if you already consider yourself as physically attractive as one could get, then would you trade 6 years off your life to not turn fugly?)
What about taking 6 years from a strangers life??

People that are good looking are good looking because they come from a gifted set of genes. That means they would live longer. If beauty added 20 years to your life due to having dominant traits then you would be +14. So the answer is yes.

Probably, if I weren't married. The last six years of your life would be the worst six years anyway. No to doing it to a stranger, though. I wouldn't do it now, being married, because I would guess that suddenly becoming ridiculously attractive would cause a lot of stress and problems in a relationship. And in fact, it would be weird to do it at any time in your adult life, but if someone gave me this offer at the age of 12, with braces and glasses, etc., that I would become extremely attractive, in exchange for six years off my life expectancy, I would have done it.
EDIT Cher was exotically beautiful when she was a young woman, with her high cheek bones and long sleek black hair, not to mention her amazing body. I can't imagine anyone thinking Cher is "naturally unattractive."

No - this is achievable for any woman who wants it but less so for any man. For example take Cher - a naturally unattractive woman - large square features, hook nose, big hands and feet. By toning her body up and going with big hair and a dramatic rock style - absolutely gorgeous. Any woman can achieve a gorgeous look with a fit body, and the right hairstyle and make-up and clothes.
Men do not have this option but can still look their absolute best if fit and toned with a good haircut. It does not take 6 years. people who do not do this simply do not prioritise looks and why should they?

No. I would rather have a healthy body and feel good that way. If I was unattractive I would work on presenting my personality in a better way. I'd try to have more fun and make other people feel good about themselves while they are in my company. This way you are always guaranteed to have friends. You don't have to be great looking to find great love. There is somebody out there for everybody. :-)

Hell no. I prefer being alive to looking good. I would however be the ugliest person in the world if it meant that I could live to 200.

I think so. I don't know about taking 6 years from a stranger's life thoguh.

I wouldnt. I dont think looks really matter. If someone doesnt love you for who you are then they arent worth your time anyway.
