I have a question about St. Patrick's Day in America?

I'm sure you will get offended, but this is an honest question. Why is it offensive for me to scream about eating fried chicken and drinking grape soda during Black History Month, but every St. Patrick's Day I have to listen to a bunch of people who aren't even a little irish scream about how awesome it is to get totally wasted? Why is it insulting to one culture, but not to another?

I agree with them not being even 'a little irish'. For the guy above if you were really irish, you would be calling it 'St Paddy's day' not 'St Patty's' that is a sure fire way to know that your are actually an american, only americans call it that.

Good question. I am Irish and I stay home on St Patty's Day. I think it is amateur time and it stereo types us.

What is long and green and full of idiots? Answer: The St Patty's Day Parade.
