Can a refurbished disk work on a new computer?

got a dell refurbished disk and i got a new compter with no back up disk.

    Use the refurbished as a slave and back up Master to slave.

    If you mean refurbished CD drive drive then yes. A refurbished hard drive can be used as well although you should be aware that it is a used drive and consequently you should expect less life from it.

    Yes it can, but will most likely have to be formatted after the initial install. The BIOS settings should see it and help you finish the initiation process.

    Certainly. Just plug in the connectors and the power cables on your hardrive and install your Operating System on it.
