Just getting over the flu. Recommend a way to get over the fatigue?

I've had the flu for the past few days, and I'm just now getting over it. I feel mostly fine other than a lingering cough and the general fatigue that comes with fighting off a disease that saps you this badly. The only problem is that I need to return to work on Monday, and I do semi-strenuous, physical labor as a job (repeated lifting above, below, and at waist level, up to and exceeding 50lbs, etc) and I need to figure out some way to get over the fatigue as best I can in a day or two. My supervisors aren't slave drivers, so I expect them to understand for the most part, but I would like to be able to at least pull my own weight even if I'm not completely back up to speed by that point. That said, can anyone recommend a multivitamin, herb, etc that will help my body recuperate more efficiently so that I'll be able to work in a few days?

Additional Info:

Male, mid-20s, decent physical condition but not ideal, around 6'1" and 185 lbs

Thanks for any advice you can give me!

Join the club mate. Me too. I agree with barcode, but I'd also suggest getting out in the fresh air and some moderate exercise like walking, just to blow the cobwebs away and clear your head, as long as you're warm enough. I'm normally raring to go the minute I wake, but almost two weeks since my cold started every thing's a real effort. Today I'm in my garden doing stuff because I too have to work Monday. Fortunately I work for myself so I'm taking it easy for a few days. Eat good nourishing food and keep yourself hydrated with plenty of liquid. And take the lifting slowly, otherwise you'll strain muscles then you'll be back to square one. Good luck.

SIP on a mug of hot chicken broth, beef broth or vegetable broth to give you strength & help keep you hydrated. You might want to sprinkle some Croutons on top for a little substance. Get as much rest as possible & avoid getting 'chilled.'
