Saw David Gray a few years back and he was as he is on record, Barbra Streisand is supposed to be excellent too, but you don't often hear of many more.

the overuse of autotune and rise of electro pop makes it harder for pop & Rnb artists to recreate the magic in front of a live audience. P!nk is the only pop artist I can think of who sings better live than in the studio. To the person who said Lady Gaga, her voice seriously sucks live!

Any actual musicians should be better live than on the record. However, with the preponderance of over-produced fabricated pop singers who can't actually sing, it is unfortunately not always the case.
Oddly enough, I have heard that Lady Gaga is actually better live too.
