How difficult is it to put in a new alternator on a 2001 chevrolet blazer v6 automatic by yourself?

I've done various maintenance/repair tasks by myself change my own oil, batteries, starter replacement, air filter, water pump, oil pump, etc, but for harder things like a new engine or tranny I'd go to a mechanic. Anyone done this truck or similar? You think I'm better off doing it myself or having it done?

An alternator Is very easy. It should take about 15 min. If you do not know where or what it looks like you can go to any parts store and they will help you locate it. Also it is always a great idea to get the book on Blazers.

The alternator is one of the easiest ones on your truck. Disconnecat the batterat ground. If have a digital radio you have to reset your stations later. You sound like a smart girl to me.. If I remember right its on the top on the right. Check & replace belts as needed. :-)

Alternators are always a cinch. You shouldn't have any trouble.

Just make sure you get the belt on there nice and tight. Nothing worse than having a squealy belt.
