She will not get cramps. Humans get cramps because the lining of the uterine wall is sloughing off. This does not happen with dogs. Call your vet for an estimate or for the names of low cost spay clinics in your area. Obviously keep her on leash and supervised outside and away from intact males until her heat cycle is finished. Good for you for getting her spayed!

Your dog turned 1 year old this month? Dogs don't get periods.
A dog's heat lasts 18-22 days. For the first 8-12 days there will be bleeding from the vulva. Then the bleeding will lighten up. Do not allow her around any intact males. By day 15-22 she will be coming out of heat. When she is done, give her a good bath to get the smell of heat off of her.
Contact your vet and ask how much it costs to have a dog spayed. Price varies by location. Many rescue organizations offer low cost spaying.

Do you mean that your dog just turned 1 year old this month? Also, dogs don't get periods, they go into heat approx every 6 months.
A dogs heat will last for approx 20 days. For the first 10 days, there will be bleeding and the vulva will get swollen. By day 10 or so, the bleeding will lighten up and she will be looking to breed. Do not allow her around dogs that are not neutered, she is to young to have a litter. By day 17 or 18, she will be coming out of heat. When she's done, make sure you give her a good bath to get the smell off of her.
Call your local vet, they will tell you how much it is to SPAY a dog. Price will depend on where you live. There are even rescue or shelters that offer low-cost spays.

Most vets won't spay a dog in season. You will have to go through this. The second and third weeks are when the most risk of accidental breeding is. Don't take this lightly. She will do anything to get loose and get to a male. Once loose, an accidental breeding and an unwanted litter is far from the worst that can happen. Such breedings can also result in fatal infections. She can get killed when she dashes heedlessly across the road in front of a car. Other dogs or coyotes may kill her.
You can expect the same thing about every 6 months for the rest of her life if you don't go ahead and get her spayed. There is no other answer, and no good reason not to. Besides saving the hassles, it reduces the chances of cancer later in life. Please make life easier for yourself, her, and society in general by getting her spayed as soon as a vet will do it.

it is uncommon yet very obtainable she is in warmth (what you're calling a era). there'll be drops of blood and definite it may get messy yet unlike a people era. the different canine if neutered is high-quality along with her. might make him a splash stressful nonetheless. even nonetheless he has no hormones he can scent her exchange. you may look on line for a chit spay and neuter hospital close to you or at your community vet. She ought to be 21 days after her cycle is over. If she purely started it is going to 35 days earlier she can be finished do to intense bleeding throughout the time of the technique. It wont harm her to consume it. maximum domestic dogs do. they're distinctive to confirm that various canines. No concerns on her teeth each and every thing sounds high-quality.

1 year old this month right?
Get her diapers if she is indoors. change them regularly. If she is an outdoor dog, make sure that she is in a fenced in yard and not able to mate with any stray or domestic animals...unless you want puppies.
I got my dog spayed at a low cost center it was about 100 bucks, but you have to wait until the cycle is complete... they won't to surgery on a dog in heat.

People... ''JUST TURNED 1 THIS MONTH'' means the dog turned 1 year old this month... note that it didn't say, ''the dog turned 1 month old''
Jesus...
She doesn't get 'sprayed' with anything.
No, she won't get cramps.
''and then tell me everything?'' sorry love, plenty of websites out there to look for info on, it's not that difficult to do it yourself unless you are just lazy.

just one...this month. get her spayed, even if its at a clinic. she'll have better health in the long run; and dogs in heat will find a way to get some. not to mention every unneutered male will be literaly sniffing around and all it takes is one quickie and who knows what you'll end up with. if a big dog gets to her she'll need surgery anyway to save her life.

They can be spayed while they are in their estrus cycle, it just costs more. Mine went in to her cycle the morning of her surgery and it was $50. more but they did it and she was fine.
