Of course ... that conflict has had unintended consequences.

For instance - the conflict has opened the flood gates of Right Wing Hatred of our TROOPS!!

I'm stunned and appalled at the many Righties on YA that I've read who spew hatred for the men and women in uniform who have flown missions in Libya.

The Righties have been calling them BABY KILLERS and MURDERERS!!!!!!!!!

I've always believed that Righties are the worst enemy of our men and women in uniform - - - but NEVER has it been so apparent as in the past two weeks!!!!

Oh sure, they like spending MASSIVE amounts of money on MILITARY CONTRACTORS ... but Republicans have historically worked AGAINST the interest of our troops.

I guess that's why our troops overseas supported Barack OBama SIX TO ONE over McCain.

Personally, I don't think he actually believes that. Here is what I think happened. First remember that we don't get oil from Libya but the UK and France certainly do. Also remember that Ronald Reagan retaliated against Libya for the West Berlin Nightclub bombing. I think these are important factors.

Gadaffi ran scared after the bombing raid in 1986 after Reagan showed he was fully prepared to cancel Gadaffi's ticket. But there was no chance that he would loose control of his country. I think that Europe bullied Obama into this and they all miscalculated how Gadaffi would respond. They probably thought he would once again capitulate after seeing the 120 some cruise missiles. But that is a serious miscalculation. Gadaffi has no choice. He won't give up because he has nowhere to go.

There seems to be a lot of scrambling now to come up with a plan "B".
