Carpet Beetle Adults No Larvae?
I have cleaned my house and have found one larvae shell. ONE. I have found maybe (in the past two weeks) 8 alive adults and a couple of dead ones. Are they coming in from outside or am i missing an infestation? I have cleaned closets and carpets and dressers and moved all the furniture and the stove and the fridge! Nothing. Help!??!

Obviously they are attracted to the carpet and curtains. I know which ones you are talking about. They come up through the vent. I had them coming in my room all the time till I closed off my vent and put a heavy book over it. Just make sure to continuously vacuum, they will eventually go away.

I personally think that many bugs enter the home through the dryer vent or the opening around the vent if it is not 100 per cent secure. Hardware stores carry a vent that closes 100 per cent, if you still have the old style that a little lint keeps open, look for a plastic vertical closure unit in the $25.00 dollar range. The company who makes this is Heartland Products Inc, of Valley city, N.D. You might google them to look at one.
