i have phlegm stuck to the back of my tongue and tonsils, how can i get it out soon?!?

i have a party tomorrow and need to feel better for it! help me! please..

    Same thing happens to me. Are you taking your meds? I need to loosen mine by drinking water all day long. I will usually make a tea with fresh grated ginger in the morning (Grate fresh ginger - about a teaspoon. Boil one cup of water and turn off the flame. Then immediately add the grated ginger to the water and let it steep for five to ten minutes. Drink it while it's hot/warm - you can add lemon or sweetener - I use Agave).

    You can also irrigate your sinuses with tepid water - or - I just let the shower water run in through my ears and some of the water exits through all of my upper passageways including sinuses and back of my throat - this helps if you can bear it! Good luck:)

    Please realise that this might be chronic and ask your doctor for help if you can't get it out. Your health comes before the party, right?
