    One writes a book, queries a literary agent and waits as long as it takes for that literary agent to be able to catch the attention of a publisher who would be willing to take on whatever the agent is representing. (This wait period is subjective. Rowling waited a year. Some agents even advise their clients to find other agents after a long time.)

    Well it depends on how much money you have. I was part of a theatre group who published some poetry books. We went to a printer who handled everything and even got an ISBNO number. It cost money but then we had to promote the books too. If your looking for a publisher to fund your book the previous answer says it all
