is my fish tank water parameters ok?

had a 20 gallon fish tank for a week now. I have one wagtail platy and a harlequin rasbora.

Ammonium 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 0...

I do a 10% partial water change daily.

Fish are swimming nice and healthy and eating.

The water changes have prevented the tank from cycling yet, when their is enough build up of fish waste in the filter, it will start to cycle, and you will see the ammonia and nitrate and nitrite levals rise and bounce, and the water will turn cloudy,

With two fish this could take a long time to evan start. You could be doing tri weekly water changes for 3 months. Im assuming you plan to get more fish? You will need to let the tank cycle before risking any more fish, the water changes will slow this down, your best bet is to return the fish and let the tank cyclewith fish food and or raw shrimp from the grocery store. Once your tank starts to cycle it will be full of toxic ammonia, you can not cycle the tank without toxic ammonia, and the cycling will just take longer if you have to keep cleaning the tank to prevent live fish from being burned with ammonia.

confident you ought to use faucet water yet you will ought to enable it sit down to enable all the chlorine settle out. I actually have a Betta fish and that's what I did. i offered a gallon jug of water. Used that the 1st time. Then I crammed it up with faucet water and enable it sit down till i necessary to alter the tank back. The water would be waiting in some week. that's the terrific way so which you do no longer ought to shop utilising bottle water.

great but if you add at least 3 more harelquins and another platy they will be more happy and you will only need to do water change like once every 3 weeks still. you could have like 13 or 14 fish and do a water change every week i have 8 in my 10 gallon

The only problem you have: Too much water changing .. for 2 fish in a 20 gal tank you can change 10% about once every 3-4 months! .. When the tank becomes fully stocked, then 10-20% once a week is more than enough.

Yes. They are so perfect in fact, that they are impossible. If you have fish in the tank, you have either ammonia, nitrite, or nitrate, or some of each.
