If I boot-nuked my hard-drive with Dban would the BIOS be gone also?

    No. The BIOS program is stored in Flash ROM, and the settings are stored in battery backed up NVRAM, neither reside on your hard drive, and will not be effected by a DBAN.

    Nope, the BIOS is unaffected by DBAN.
