There is no harm in placing a pound, or 10 pounts, or 100 pounds of straw on a camel. But if a camel is groaning under the weight of hundreds of pounds of straw, legs splayed and back bowed, putting further straw on that camel's back is abusive.

The early straw was fine; the late straw was wrong.

    Cheers,

I'm trying to read between the lines: You were confronted by someone who was angry about something you had done. The person who was angry had other people do the same thing but let it slide by not getting angy with them. The individual who got mad said enough is enough; your the straw that broke the camels back.

It's sort of like this, you are in a group of cars that are speeding, and you are the one who gets pulled over and given a ticket. You go to court and tell the judge the story, and he asks, "were you speeding?" You're honest and answer, "yes", and the judge makes you pay the fine. The others did not get confronted for the wrong; you did. Is that arbitrary? Yes. But, that's the way life is.

Now, being this in the religion section of the questions, I will put t in a spiritual perspective. Everyone sins, and are deserving Hell. God sends his Son to earth to forgive those who sinned. God says if you admit your guilt and have faith that my Son died for your sins, you will go to heaven. No one understand God's message or admits their sin. So God realizes this problem and send down his Holy Spirit to fill people so they will understand the message and see their sins for what or what it is. But, he only fills certain people. Why only certain people and not all. That one of the great mysteries of the Bible: Why some and not others. God may have looked down the corridor of time and picked those who would love him, he may just chosen people for a reason our finite minds cannot comprehend. How is it possible for the mortal, human mind to understand the eternal mind of God. We think more like a single cell organism then we do like God. We rely on instincts, reflex, reaction and feelings to make our decisions; God simply relies on Holiness he is not bound by anything he is sovereign and omnipotent.

I may have read too much into the question. I hope not.
