Why are all the Democrats flip flopping on raising the debt limit?

Under Bush, nearly all Democrats voted against raising the debt limit(Reid, Obama, Hoyer, Kerry- well all of them.)

Update:

March 20, 2006: This was the last stand-alone debt limit vote on which then-Senator Obama voted. He

was one of 48 members to vote against the increase, which passed with 52 votes.

Obama said: “The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can't pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.

could make someone ask your self, in 2006 at the same time as the country became no longer in a debt and spending disaster they were useless set hostile to it, to the point of calling it a failure of administration, yet now at the second one, the country spends more beneficial than it takes in, we are in a severe disaster and all the left can do is say advance the debt reduce they were so hostile to easily many years lower back and tax the prosperous who already carry 80% of the load of operating the country.

You article conveniently leaves out that the Democratic control Congress raised the Debt limit twice under Bush from 2007-2008.

Which seems to be a key point to leave out.

Of course from 2001-2006, the Republican controlled Congress raised the Debt limit 5 times. And now it is anathema to them.
