I knew a lady who fit this description. Three years ago, she almost died from pneumonia, spent 10 days on a ventilator, got a secondary pneumonia from that, all the while with sepsis, had a 5% chance of surviving. She fought back. She woke up paralyzed from the interaction of steroids on the paralyzing agent they use on ventilator patients, went into rehab where her muscles (weakened on the cellular level), had to be retrained totally. She'd shake from the effort, three hours a day, had to relearn how swallow, even. Never gave up, by the way, all the while she was end stage emphysema. Her stay in rehab took months.
Two weeks after coming home, still barely able to walk, she got the worst call of her life. Her troubled adult daughter was terminally ill and was expected to die within a few months. So, even while terminally ill herself, my friend became the full time guardian of her terminally ill daughter, taking care of her to the bitter end. And you know what? She always said she knew God wouldn't take her for no reason...she hated that her daughter was dying, but she didn't hesitate, not even a second. She scheduled all her doctors appointments and took every lesson learned from her own rehab. While I still wish none of it had ever had to happen to either one, it seems miraculous the way it turned out.

faraway from the a techniques-fetched imaginations of Hollywood and Tinseltown, there does exist a team of superheroes, besides the certainty that they won't be superheroes in the way which you think of. They stay in the Kalahari desolate tract, the place they burrow underground and megastar in Animal Planet programmes. those little bushy creatures, many times misunderstood, conflict certainty on a on an wide-spread basis foundation. sure, you heard that wisely. They stand firmly protecting starry-eyed dreamers and poets against the relentless attack of actual existence. A thankless job, certainly. So next time you examine a Superman comedian, toss it in the rubbish and spare a theory for the actual superheroes... the meerkats of the Kalahari. Yeh!

Yeah. There are! Phil Zimbardo, the doctor, is helping people act heroically all the time. 'Our fundamental conception is to instill in young people the self-belief that “I am a hero-in-waiting.”
'Further, to internalize the perspective, “That when I become aware of the need to act on behalf of others needing help or being the victim of evil forces, I will be ready and able to take the necessary action.” '
