SOLVE FOR X: 3/(X+1)=(1/X^2-1)?

i'm really bad at math and ive been working at this stupid test forever. please help me =(

    x = -1

    x = 4/3

    You first cross multiply, bring all the terms to one side so they equal 0, and then factor.

    3x^2 - 3 = x + 1

    3x^2 - x - 4 = 0

    (3x-4)(x+1) = 0

    x = (4/3), -1
