I have a hypothetical question regarding business?

If you worked at a company as a receptionist and their telephone system disconnected people continuously, would you consider that to be a GOOD, SOLID BUSINESS PRACTICE? Customers called in saying they could not reach their intended party, that they never returned voice mail messages, that their business was going unresolved, is this a good business practice?

If you were the receptionist and NOTHING IN YOUR OFFICE WORKED PROPERLY, would you think that you were being treated like a QUEEN? Everytime anyone asked the IT Department of this company to do anything, all you got was A HUGE ARGUMENT AND A BUNCH OF MESS, and all this from a MANAGER OF THE COMPANY, what do you think?

And such is the State of American Business and they wonder WHY WE HAVE PROBLEMS IN THIS COUNTRY???????????

Update:

OMG it shouldn't be a matter that YOU HAVE TO PUT UP WITH. You apparently missed the point, everytime you ask the IT DEPARTMENT TO ACTUALLY DO THEIR JOBS ALL YOU GET IS A BIG BUNCH OF GARBAGE.

The point is GET SOMEONE IN THE IT DEPARTMENT THAT CAN DO THEIR JOB WITHOUT ALL THE GARBAGE.

I AGREE IT IS POOR MANAGEMENT AND POOR MANAGEMENT WILL CAUSE BUSINESSES TO FAIL.

Update 2:

I should have to put up with the IT Department collecting a check and NOT DOING THEIR JOBS??????????

No and neither should the BUSINESS OWNER PUT UP WITH THE IT DEPARTMENT COLLECTING CHECKS AND NOT DOING THEIR JOBS. IF THEY CAN'T DO THEIR JOBS GET SOMEONE THAT CAN, THAT SIMPLE.

Some companies are run well and others badly (and some in between). What surprises you about that? If you are being paid and not in a position where you are supposed to correct matters, then you either put up with it or leave.
