You want a hypothetical ending to a hypothetical scenario? Well as a Muslim its not what I would say, I can tell you that much. I would say 'I will keep walking till I can no more, and when I can no more I pray God has mercy on my soul Insha Allah' we all got to die somewhere of something and the desert is fine by me, there are worse ways to go. God will or wont save any or all of them because no one but on one goes a second before or after their time.
