Bad shaving habits catching up on me when trying to grow a beard?

I've succeeded in growing a small beard, a chin strap type however there is a problem with the direction of my hairs. The hairs on the left side of my face go downwards towards the middle, and the hairs on the right side of my face go upwards towards my ear. I think this was caused by which direction I used when shaving with a manual razor. Is there any way to correct this?

It probably has nothing to do with the razor. You can use a small beard comb to get things going the right way.

Has nothing to do with how you shave with a razor. Just let them grow out more and they will even out, or you can just comb them.
