Teenage circumcision...what are the effects?

My boyfriend is getting circumcised. It's due to medical issues, not some weird religious thing, I don't believe babies should be circumcised either so don't rant to me about that :L or if you WERE circumcised as a baby..I know it's really common in America and stuff (I'm from Scotland) so no worries :o please give me some advice. ESPECIALLY people who were circumcised in adulthood after experiencing orgasm.

RIGHT. Everyone says OMG LESS SENSITIVE! I don't know if this is played up due to the debate factor or whatever...I want people who have been circumcised or girls who have circumcised boyfriends etc.

How much longer does a guy take after he's been circumcised?! Right now oral takes like 2-5 minutes...will I have to be doing it for AGES cause it's so much less sensitive? What have your experiences been? How long does it take?!

My boyfriend is also premature...will he lose that? will it all balance out?! D:

SO CONFUSED.

Update:

Oh yeah I know it will take a while to heal, that doesn't bother me :L Fact is he doesn't have a choice, I don't really want him to have it done but it will make him healthy so we're in this together <3 I'm just looking for some advice :)

Update 2:

I know the difference between male and female circumcision -_- that's not what I was asking! Yes it's a horrible thing :o thought it was only done in strange African cultures so woman can get no pleasure?

Update 3:

@Anna THAT IS HIS PROBLEM. how do you get this cream?! :L the doctor never mentioned it :S

He won't lose his sensitivity for awhile. On the contrary, once his protective foreskin is gone, he'll be MUCH more sensitive for awhile. Even putting on clothes or casual touch will hurt him. As he gets used to it and the consistent rubbing of his clothes as he moves calluses his penis, it will become less sensitive. This isn't an exaggeration to make an argument with, its a fact. Uncircumcised guys are waaaaaaaaaaaay more sensitive and seem to enjoy themselves more. He'll probably take about 10 minutes with oral once he calluses. He'll probably also have a fever, and be grouchy.

Source(s): Dated circumcised and uncircumcised. (Prefer foreskin.)

I've "experienced" both circumcised and intact. (The word intact is used instead of "uncircumcised", because I think uncircumcised sounds stupid, like if you have both arms you don't call yourself "unamputated" lol).

But the circumcised guys I dated had all been circumcised at birth, not as teenagers/adults. Infant circumcision tends to be more damaging to sexual function because it gives more time for the glans (head) to callous and dry-out. The glans is meant to be an internal organ, covered and protected by the foreskin, so when it's permanently exposed like on a circumcised man it loses a lot of sensitivity.

For an adult, the glans will be initially VERY sensitive because he's not used to it rubbing on his clothing. But after a while the keratinization process will begin, and it'll gradually worsen throughout a man's life.

Circumcision also removes nerve endings - about 20,000 of them. This nerve damage and sensitivity loss is the reason why the USA sells so much viagra, I'm guessing..

Since circumcised guys experience less sensation, I've noticed that they have to thrust a lot harder and rougher and conjure up fantasies in their head (or so I've been told) to keep the arousal going. While intact men enjoy the entire thing and go slower and smoother. And yes they're more sensitive to touch, and IMO easier/funner to play with. ;)

The nerve damage can cause both delayed ejaculation and premature ejaculation. Some circumcised guys can't control when they ejaculate and it happens early. Others have lost so much sensitivity that it takes a looong time for them to come. Some guys don't have either problem.

Out of curiosity, what medical problem does your boyfriend have? I think the most common "medical problem" with the foreskin in teenagers is that the foreskin is tight and cannot be fully retracted. However this problem can easily be fixed without circumcision (usually just stretching the foreskin with some prescribed cream works perfectly).

Regarding female genital cutting, it's actually illegal in developed countries (or at least most of them). But that doesn't mean it's never done. And the most common form of female circumcision removes the clitoral hood, which is anatomically anologous to the foreskin on a man.

    Hope this info helps.

"Adults who undergo circumcision report less-satisfying sex, reduced sensitivity and erectile function, difficulty with intromission and increased premature ejaculation."

----------from Nature Clinical Practice Urology 20 January 2009

Most of the questions on Y/A from males who experience premature ejaculation are individuals who are circumcised. Circumcision doesn't prevent PE, circumcision is a main cause of it because of the disruption in normal neural feedback.

It's possible that as a result of the damage, it could ruin his sex life.

Damaging a penis doesn't improve it in any way.

Circumcision is a fraud and a hoax.

a foreskin is not a birth defect; it is a birthright.

Just warning you, you won't be able to give him a bj or anything for a few weeks at least. I know 2 teens who had it done, and it takes longer to heal than they say. It's really painful and I know someone who had loads of infections and ended up bleeding loads and having to go to hospital.

Sorry it's not to do with your question but I thought you'd need to know, so you can understand what he's going through a bit more!

The Diagnostic Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM IV) defines premature ejaculation as a persistent or recurrent ejaculation with minimal sexual stimulation before, on or shortly after penetration and before a person wishes. Wow, that’s not a sexy definition. Personally, I define it as you come quicker than you or your partner wants. Luckly this is a great solution for premature ejaculation https://tr.im/770b8

In most men, premature ejaculation occurs infrequently and isn't usually a cause for worry. However, if it occurs too often and ends up plaguing your sex life, it can very well be a cause for concern. Techniques to delay premature ejaculation https://tr.im/quHtJ

Studies have shown that premature ejaculation has a direct relationship with age. As men grow older and testosterone levels drop with age, premature ejaculation most likely sets in.

First of all you need to understand the differences between male circumcision and female genital mutilation ("female circumcision").

Female Genital Mutilation (FGM, aka, "female circumcision") involves the COMPLETE removal of the vagina and clitoris under unsanitary conditions, the opening is then STITCHED CLOSED.

The girl is left with NO GENITALS.

This is often done in many uneducated religious practicing tribes in Africa, but also in other parts of the world. When the baby girl is sold or given to a husband, he rips her open by force (not by surgery but by physically tearing open the stitches with his bare hands or other tools) and impregnates her.

They stitch the opening closed again, until she dies or delivers (or dies during delivery), the majority of girls do not survive. Those who do survive often do NOT survive when giving birth. This happens to hundreds of millions of baby girls around the world.

Contrast with male circumcision, which is just the removal of the foreskin under sterile medical surgical procedures, the male clitoris (head) is NOT removed or operated on and is exposed to reveal INCREASED stimulation and reduces the incidence of infection.

There is a non-zero risk with male circumcision, but compared to the 100% injury or death rate of "female circumcision" (FGM), FGM is a FAR WORSE IMPACT than male circumcision.

Male Circumcision: performed regularly in most industrialized nations with a non-zero risk of complications, few cases of surgical errors.

Female Genital Mutilation: performed on hundreds of millions of girls with a 100% injury or death rate.
