Are you a better person than Osama bin Laden?

Or do you believe St. John's words when he said that anyone who hates is a murderer? Have you ever hated anyone?

Are you a sinner, in just as great a need of God's forgiveness as bin Laden was?

Update:

I never said that I feel sorry for bin Laden. This question is actually about the person reading it, not about bin Laden. Just some food for thought.

Everyone is a sinner in need of God's forgiveness. I feel no joy at the death of bin Laden, rather sadness for all the pain and destruction he caused. I feel sorry for the people who died on Sept. 11, their families, the first responders who also died and their families, and those who are suffering illness because of their service. I also feel sorrow for those soldiers who lost their lives in fighing for their country and their families, as well as concern for those still in service in hostile areas. I feel concern for americans living and serving abroad for we are all targets. However, I do feel it is wrong to rejoice in the death of anyone. We can call it justice or closure, but not joyous. The battle may be over, but the war will go on in different forms. I know this was not what you were looking for, but thank you for letting put my thoughts into writing.

So what that means is that everybody that doesn't feel sorry for bin Laden is just as bad as bin Laden?

Strange... I only seem to respect Christianity when it fully assumes its irrationality.

Attempts at making it consistent seem to produce something construed...

Exactly what do you think bin Laden needed forgiveness for? He had nothing to do with 9/11 as the US government authorities tell us...

and what does your st john have to say about the people who hate AND are murderers. I understand the hyperbole john was uning in a vain attempt to discourage hatred, but come on... seriously..... do you think he meant that LITERALLY?

I've said it before... we deserve a better class of deity

I've never killed anyone or spread that much hate. I'm pretty comfortable with saying yes, I am a more moral person than he was.

I'm not Christian, so your quotes do not apply.

    Don't know. I'm not OBL

What I do know is that I'm a sinner, and God is a savior. I have assurance that my sins were atoned for, he does not.

We all fall short when it comes to God. Sadly, Osama had put his faith in the wrong god.

I'm certainly more upright than he is right now.
