What are your thoughts on Obama not releasing the Osama death photos?

Personally I see both sides. You do not show the people they don't believe you. If you show the photos it will bother alot of people because of the graphic image.

I can't stand the idea that we are worried about "inflaming" these irrational terrorist slobs. I would show it as a warning to the next SOB who thinks killing 3000 of our civilians might be a good idea.

No law that says you have to look at it.

America is at War on Terror, so Obama should act as a warrior. We all know the death of Osama Bin Laden doesn't change a threat from al Qaeda. He should show the photos and videos, and telling the world that US will do the same to anybody who will encroach on American soil. Instead Obama has violated our most basic constitutional right of 1st Amendment: Freedom of Speech, and created a whole new war with journalists who will eventually get those photos. If it'll happen before the election, it would cost Obama the second term.

Then again, they can always make someone look like Bin Laden in a picture, either by graphical editing or a costume. Wish we had the guy alive in a cell somewhere first. Like a maximum security prison. With lots of showers.

I think there is in all of us a bit of morbid curiosity and some of us are able to control it better then others. I agree with what you are saying, but even if some people see it with their own eyes they will still choose not to believe he is dead.

I personally do not want to see the pictures. I am glad an evil man is dead, and although he chose his path in life and the ultimate end to it, it should end here and now. Let the dead bury the dead.

Not releasing the photos will NOT make them[terrorists] less angry. They hate you for who you are. They will always hate you and nothing can change that. The terrorists use various propaganda tools, including cartoons and hate speeches to incite hatred; so the absence of osama's photo, wont change much.

We see in the news graphic pictures of death and other things, so why can't he show the world the he's right. I don't think it's beacues of the graphic pictures there is something nasty about this situation

No one will force anyone who gets upset to look at the "graphic images." We are not children who need Daddy Government to censor things for us and our enemies will not hate us any less for not showing them. Heck Yes, I want to see those photo's.

  • It occurred to me this morning that the Republican candidate can get points by promising to release them.
