Do You Believe The May 21,2011 Prophecy?

I am a Christian and I am 15 and a girl. However, this whole May 21,2011 thing scares me and it's supposed to be this month.Fellow Christians,do you believe this?I always thought that no man knew the time or the hour that Jesus will come back. And although the time is getting closer,I personally don't believe it will be May 21,no more than I believe it will be December 21,2012.Think about it,when it's May 21 in the US,it's already May 22 in Australia and still May 20 in other countries. Also,Harold Camping, the man that predicted this, also predicted the Rapture in 1994 and of course,it didn't come.So he was wrong once so I thought that makes him a false prophet. But I want to know other Christians' opinions.Thank you in advance.Does anybody else know of any other false prophecies that he has made?Is it safe to say that he is a false prophet considering he has already been wrong once. Also, does anyone believe the 2012 prediction? There's only 17 days left and I guess I just want reassurance.

The man not only is a false Prophet, he's a nut. He can't be sane. If he were a true man of God he would know that the Bible says no man knows, only the Father knows. He really has nerve after making a fool out of himself once, here he goes again. I think he is possessed because that sounds just like something Satan or one of his little devils would do. He never gives up. Yes he is a False Prophet. But I don't think he is "The False Prophet" as spoken of in the Book of Revelation. As far as 2012, I don't believe thats the end. If you study prophecy very much you'd know that the Temple has to be built for the Antichrist to go into it and declare himself God. As for the time of the rapture, there are so many speculations about the rapture that it confuses me. Hope that gives you a little reassurance. I'm not worried.

    No.

    + 2011 +

The man behind the May 21, 2011 prophecy, Harold Camping has already been incorrect once and, therefore, is a false prophet. If he had lived in Old Testament times, he would have been stoned to death for making an incorrect prophecy. No responsible Christian leader supports his "new prophecy" http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2...

    + 2012 +

The 2012 end of the world scenario is a purely secular and Pagan hoax. No responsible Jewish, Christian, or Muslim leader supports any of the "prophecies".

One of several Mayan calendars is the Long Count calendar, which is reset to day 0 every 1,872,000 days or about 5125 years. The next reset date, by some calculations, is December 21, 2012. This is not a prediction of the end of the world. Here is what a Mayan elder says on the subject: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howabou...

These predictions are scare tactics, conspiracy theories, and chances to make money from books and movies.

Ever since the Y2K and 6/6/6 (June 6, 2006) End of the World scenarios did not pan out, the scare mongers, conspiracy theorists, book sellers, and television executives have been touting the 2012 End of the World scenario. When 2012 does not happen either, I am sure they will think of something else.

+ The End of the World +

"But of that day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be watchful! Be alert! You do not know when the time will come." (Mark 13:32-33)

Jesus told us in no uncertain terms that we were not to know when the end of the world would come but that we were always to be ready.

Each new Christian denomination seems to worry about the end of the world a bit too much. Then after a couple of centuries, they realize that there are always wars and rumors of wars, etc.

I won't even mention the hundreds of false predictions of the end of the world over the centuries, all of which were based on individual interpretations of biblical prophecies.

The first century Christian Church thought that Jesus was going to return at any moment. Only after a couple of centuries did the Church realize that it may be 2,000 or 4,000 or 8,000 years before Jesus returns.

The Catholic Church wisely follows Jesus' advice and teaches that each of us should live as if we will meet our maker in the next ten minutes and that we need to work to make the world a better place for our 100 X great-grandchildren.

Do not worry about the end of the world. Trust God to make sure everything happens to plan. Just be ready to meet God at any time.

There is no prophecy in the Bible regarding this date...it is just an estimationby the South American MAYA , which modern archaeologists have deciphered from the MAYA hieroglyphs...[ carvings]

(Matthew 24:36) “Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.

Some have said the world will end...but it will not...It has to still be here to be the home of the ' righteous'

(Psalm 37:29) The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it.

To live on the earth means to be able to breathe the air.

    No.

Harold Camping is a liar and heretic.A false prophet, sister, don't be scared. Its silly, and false. He made a false prophecy before, and were yet to be dead.

2012 is also false, you only need a basic education to understand that its false.

Sister, never buy into these. Only God knows when it will be, and we will know when we see it.

~Peace forever be with you! God bless you!

  • I reassure you these predictions all come from false prophets. You are 100% correct in saying that we are told that NO ONE knows the day or hour.

Another thought for you Miss 15 year old girl. Why are you afraid of the day and hour Jesus will return? Jesus loves you. his return should be something to be looking forward to with great excitement; unless your heart is not right with Him. Then you might fear that day and be looking for reassurance.

it is really funny that some man knows more that Jesus as Math 24:36 no one knows the day or hour neither the angels nor the Son only the Father.............only God knows and he didn't til Jesus or the angels................so how can anyone predict............now we do know we are living in the last days

2Peter 3:1-5 but that is all we know.......it could be tomorrow or ten years away......The main thing

is do GOD's will and you will have no fear when it is here. His will is in the bible

No. It is simply another date set that will pass in disappointment for the believers of the date. This has happened many, many times in the past.

Jesus isn't coming back...once your dead...your dead! Unless ya know, your heart stops for a few seconds and they use the paddles. Jesus is a 2000 year old, son of a mother who kept her story straight to avoid being stoned by others...if any ones coming back, I hope it's michael Jackson!!!! :) No disrespect is meant by this though, I hope you follow the good (but few) versions in the bible about love. Instead of the ones that support murder, rape, and gay-bashing.
