Can we at least agree that health care DOES need to be fixed in this country?

Ignore Obamacare for one second. Pretend it was never passed.

Think about what health care is like in the country (or was, before Obamacare started coming into effect). Would it need to be reformed? If so, what would you do to fix it?

While many say that it does, when I present the facts on the need for reform as well as the facts on the reforms, I still get e-mails from people stating my facts about the US healthcare system are wrong.

So yes, many agree that reform needs to take place, but not all do.

FACT - Insurance companies in the USA before the reforms pushed up prices, did not pay out claims when they should and bought or blackmailed politicians [1]

FACT - PER PERSON the USA spends more on healthcare than any other nation on the planet [2]

FACT - Obama debated his plans before the election for healthcare [3]

FACT - the chance of a child under five of dying in the USA is greater than industrialised nations with universal health coverage [4]

FACT - Obama was elected to bring in change [5]

FACT - Obama wants to stop insurance companies from screwing America [6]

FACT - The reforms Obama wants work in the Netherlands and Switzerland [7]

Let me know if my facts are wrong, but please provide proof.

Most support reform, but not the monstrosity that many Democrats who voted for still haven't finished reading it. There are plenty of common sense measures (tort reform, selling insurance across state lines etc) that won't add trillions to the debt, grow the federal government like a chia pet on steroids and won't cripple the middle class and shut down small businesses in droves

scottso360: Estimates also put the cost of the Medicare prescription drug program at 500 billion over 10 years when it turns out it will be over 1.3 trillion. You can't trust the government's estimates, you should know that by now.

Health care needed reformed but not like this ..My insurance premiums have already gone up considerably and what they pay and how they pay is limited now more than before so i seen a reduction in what i pay for ..If that was the gain then oblahma care is working and how do you like your change now and by the way read some of that health care bill and tell me how you like some of the add ons they put in it ...

Obamacare works but people are not going to like the bureaucracy of medicine.People want freedom of choice for the treatment for their own health.

Social Security and Medicare has been working fine since 1932. It still works fine. The problem is there is no more money in the funds. What happened to the money? There has to be a way to fund Social Security. Either by raising taxes, especially those from wealthy people, or cut the exaggerated expenses, Also, investigate people who steel money from Medicare and prosecute them.

Ignore Obama care........That will be pure rationing. It would be a bloated corrupt health system that spends more and does less.

    Tort Reform

    Buying Insurance across State Lines-Competition

Stop the land baby law.- We can not afford all the illegal children to be on Medicaid.

    Stop the flow of illegals.

Stop the corruption in the Insurance Business so it is more affordable.

Make a unmarried-payer device for anybody. every person might want to be insured and it would want to be paid for through a sparkling earnings tax. That tax might want to be graduated, small and there might want to be no deductions, exemptions or exclusions. it would want to hide preventative care at one hundred% and each and every thing else medically mandatory at 80 or ninety% as a lot as an annual cap on out-of-pocket expenses. those who needed something over and above what the authorities provides you may want to purchase supplemental insurance on the private marketplace. because you pay part of the fee below the reduce, you've got an incentive to purchase round for low-fee remedy. that could want to help include expenses for the device. also, the authorities may also help administration its personal expenses through creating the billing charges of all carriers publicly attainable. this methodology also needs to post a itemizing score docs in accordance to affected man or woman consequences. for people below a particular element (say 2 hundred% of the poverty element) they could qualify to have their part of the fee coated through this methodology. you would could follow for that each and every 3 hundred and sixty 5 days.

No, I believe that health needs to be fixed. "Health care" as you put it is America's frustration over the fact that you can't buy jogging, stopping the drugs and eating right and refusing to try to heal everyone in Mexico. So they are blaming the health care system.
