Why does my refridgerator randomly stink like death?
My refridgerator's freezer works great, but the refridgerator part barely works. I've scrubbed it clean and there is no tray underneath. So why does this thing randomly smell like death? One day it's rotten smelling vegetables, and another day it's rotten meat. I'm getting sick of this smell!

Well if the fridge part barely works, then it's not keeping the items in it cold enough to keep them from spoiling. Also, if your fridge is empty or almost empty, it won't be as cold as it would be if it were full, or almost full. So, even if you put a bunch of sodas or bottled water in the fridge, or even gallon jugs of water. The fuller your fridge, the colder it will be. But, if your fridge is running out of frion, then none of this will matter. ... but check the settings and make sure the fridge didn't get turned down. Unfortunately, I had a family member that got a kick out of turning the dial down on my fridge.
As for the smell, you can open a box of baking soda and keep it in the fridge, it helps absorb odors. Change out the box of baking soda once a year. And, keep cleaning out anthing that spoils or spills, as you are doing now...that's all i can think of!

well i couldnt answer your question as why that strong odor, but i have the remedy my fridge use to do the same , just buy two small boxes of baking soda and put one on the freezer and one the fridge and just open the boxes and let sit there for a month and it will suck up all the nasty odors and just keep changing it every month and you will see the change it worked for me, try it wont cost you alot baking soda usually less than a dollar!!

I recommend checking behind and under the unit. Perhaps a rodent has gotten caught or electrocuted there...
