How did I get O negative blood?
My dad is AB negative & my mom is A negative.
All my sisters have A negative blood.
I have O negative blood, though.
How did this happen? & is it rare for this to happen?

It does happen that sometimes a baby is born with O group even though its parents have A.
I am A negative, my husband is A positive, my daughter is O positive.
She is definitely ours and didn't get mixed up in the nursery because my family has oddly-shaped elbows and she has inherited them! Apart from that, she looks so much like my mother in law from photos taken at similar ages that people have thought the early pictures of Mum in law were pictures of my daughter, and now, all the family are amazed at how much alike they are in looks.
My Mum was A negative and my Dad was O positive; it has obviously jumped a generation.
So - don't worry about it. It happens.

i'm O constructive yet i will experience ya on the needles element. i grow to be so happy to confirm I had an excellent RH ingredient. i'm hoping that's no longer too undesirable for you. BTW you will recover from the needles element authentic speedy when you have long undergone hard paintings. this could seem as though a walk in the park. reliable success. haha to the respond below mine. Blood form O is the main uncomplicated lololol AND it is not basically particularly uncomplicated inspite of the undeniable fact that it is the prevalent donor. destructive RH ingredient is far less uncomplicated yet no longer that uncommon.

Are you absolutely sure about these types? According to what I have read, a child with type O blood cannot have a parent with type AB. I suspect your father might not be your biological father.
Veronica's answer above is also correct - two parents with type A can have a child of type O. But AB is a special case.

I don't think that's possible. Are you sure your dad is AB negative? Or yourself being O negative? There is a possible theory of that if the types are right, but i don't want to destroy a family, if you know what i mean.
