Is this a good Thesis Statement for Alexander the Great?
I'm writing this for my year 12 essay on 'Alexander the Great and his exploits'.
"Alexander is called "the Great" for a reason, mainly for his military conquests. But there are his other exploits that would probably make him lose his title. The siege of Tyre, the killings of some of his closest friends and his ego. However many argue that it was all in the past, but why give the title of "the Great" to a man if it was all in the past?"
Is it good/bad/needs work?
Thanks people.

It's too long.Thesis statements are best kept short and to the point. You can go into details in your text.
''Reasons Why Alexander of Macedon Should or Shouldn't be Known as The Great' will do just fine.
You can use what you posted above as the beginning of your introduction.

It is not bad!!! If you really study his battles and how he thought "out of the box", then anybody can see he was great when it came to military warfare!!!
