Why do you think women are generally unable to make jokes?

I'm not trying to be sexist. Oh sure, you have a few female comedians, but if you have to be honest with yourself, you'll have to agree women are not so proficient at MAKING jokes. Don't confuse this with 'having a sense of humor'. I agree that women understand and appreciate jokes well.
In fields such as physical sports or the corporate world, men usually have the advantage of being physically stronger or more aggressive which could explain their dominance. 
But why humor? In fact, since girls are usually smarter than guys, you would expect the former to excel in this field.

I think it's because historically, women look for men who can make THEM laugh, probably because women are more inclined to laugh and giggle, and men are more inclined to be the entertainer

Most women I know are really bad at joke telling. Plus, most of the comediennes I see on tv are so concerned about making sure you know they are female that most of their effort goes into that endeavor instead of actually trying to be funny.

sexist much? Have you ever heard of Rosie O'donnell? Betty White? Ellen DeGeneres? Seriously, this is the 21st century, there are plenty of women comedians. Try going to google and looking it up if you have to!

what Mr. D Na said is ur answer! ;) women lov it when a man makes her laugh and men love to see women giggle or laugh to jokes they 'made'! so its all about how both the sexes are made psychologically! :)
