Do you think that most people wait til they are older before interracially dating?

Makes sense. People don't want to be called racist, but if you do go after someone of another race while still in school, a few eyebrows get raised. That happened for me a couple of times. My town has mostly hispanic (what I am) and white, extremely few blacks or asians, and hardly anything else after that. I showed interest in a black girl, I got the eyebrow raise. Nothing derogatory was said but you can tell it was a shock of sorts. By the time I was out of school and the house I was already living with my wife (then fiance) so I never got to date anyone of a different race. There are no regrets, but I do see it as a past opportunity to go outside of what I know. There is a difference between having a friend of a different race to dating them. If I had not found my wife early on in life I would have tried to date out of my race, and who cares who lifts their eyebrows at me, I'm my own man at that point. But under the parents roof, you tend to not make too many waves. I'm sure many homes are like that, no matter what race they are.

The majority of the people do because they feel free when in college. A black girl at a club is more likely to get hit on by more white guys than black guys. Interrcial dating is soon to start taking over altogether

I was a Junior in High School....1963. Japanese girl and a black girl...back when it wasn't COOL to date outside one's race.
