My 4 yr old daughter has been getting spontaneous rashes/hives for the past 4 days?
I cannot connect them to food, laundry detergent, soap, etc. They appear on her wrists, all over her face, and ankles- and look like red patches with little white raised bumps. She has lived in the same area all her life. They appear out of nowhere, and then disappear on their own, usually after about 15 minutes- no scarring or anything, but she said they itch. She was treated for pinkeye last week, and was given antibiotic eyedrops, but she's had them before with no problems.
She's allergic to penicillin.
What could this be????

A mold allergy. Spring in the northern hemisphere and the warmer weather brings an increase in mold. Her immune system is immature and the molds test it...she will develop anti-gens to various molds and probly they will never trouble her again. The clue is they only show up where her skin is exposed to air. I bet you live in a humid area.

Is it possible that she has ingested a different type of dairy or one from a different rendering or source. I have greater believe that it is an imbalance that is irritated by the antibiotic. It is possible to use colloidal silver in the eye to remedy conjunctivitis, usually it will disappear within a day or two when using it. Colloidal silver doesn't affect the immune system the same way every antibiotic does. Your body has to work twice as hard to defend itself because you are interrupting its natural process of doing so by using an antibiotic.
