Where are the prophets of doom now?

Could they be the ones standing in the stupid corner wearing dunce's hats made from pages torn from their instruction manual (the infallible word of God or Bible as the fables are often termed)? Wish them luck as they thumb through the tattered remains of their book trying to find more rubbish to scare and extract money from the gullible, uneducated masses of this world.
