Cool ways to teleport?

Question

If you could teleport, how would you do it?
Would be like Nightcrawler from the X-Men and leave a purple cloud behind?
Or would you be like a Mortal Kombat (game,) and slip down into the ground and pop up again? What effects would your teleporting have?

The best type of teleport I've thought of is distortion of space and then disappearing. You might not be able to picture it in your head so I have an image. It's at the bottom left.

Then if not that, I'd love to just teleport leving an after-image behind that would slowly fade away after a few seconds

I would love to teleport by leaving behind a mist of crystal-like petals behind and with a fading distorting image like Noctis Lucis Caelum.
Something more majestic or calm.
