Should Climatologists be charged with Fraud?

Yes! They should be charged with all sorts of things, including fraud and extortion! It is the biggest hoax since......well I can't think of a bigger hoax. The earth's climate is constantly in change, there is never a time period where the climate was perfectly "stable" and CO2 levels were "normal". A few thousand years ago, the place I live in right now was covered in a mile thick sheet of ice. Man contributed nothing to the melting of the ice, because man barely had any technologies that produced CO2, but it melted anyway. A few billion years ago, CO2 levels were almost 7,000% higher than they are now. If I'm correct, the levels were about 7,000 ppm, and now they are about 130 ppm. The earth's climate is constantly in flux, there is no one direct cause.

They should at least be investigated. This is a huge misuse of science, the money, time and resources that have been wasted on global warming research should be use to find cheaper sources of energy.

Nobody of that feild should be charged. They only predict it by evedince given but not all the time it is correct. I think the majority of them are misguided. Remember, these "scientists" are basing most of their beliefs about global warming on faulty data from NASA and others. The ones who fabricate data like Michael Mann definitely should be charged.

Rather than ranting, please provide a specific example.

Please name the specific climatologist and the specific claim of predicting that climate change will make the climate untenable for some species that has not come true.

I'll bet that this "asker" has nothing to say once she is pinned down to specifics. A lot of rather dim-witted people like to come here and rant ignorantly, but really can't explain what they are talking about because they don't know. I can easily be proved wrong here, if I am wrong, by the asker simply providing an example of what she is talking about.

As for the La Aquila seismologists, you are referring to the court system in Italy which we know to be deeply flawed. Very little climate research has been conducted in Italy, so your associating the event further shows ignorance of the actual events. As to your question, no I would not recommend any other court system to emulate the Italian system.

what makes you think the predictions are wrong? So far, they have been on track with margin of error. the climate models of twenty years ago accurately forecast temperature rises over the last 20 years.

Should they be charged with fraud? No, I think treason is a better charge. Some of these thieving, lying commie "scientists" should be sent to prison for life and see their ill-gotten wealth confiscated and given back to the taxpayers. They stole part of America's treasure and polluted young minds with garbage and manure.

Predicting the future is always risky and difficult, especially for any complex system.

But in the case of those seismologists, there was ongoing low-level seismic activity, that seismologists were saying would not lead to a serious earthquake. So that would be the equivalent of someone, say, noticing the various signs of global warming we have already seen and saying confidently "Nah, it'll level off soon.". That is, someone making predictions not reasonably in line with observable evidence.

Not if it was just a theory, like AGW is. If they purposely altered data to make money or some other gain to fool people, then yes.

I would say those on here that pretend to be climatologists and who are generally clueless about science in general and climate history in particular should be charged with fraud. They also should be charged for idiocy for being useful idiots in the eco-Marxist campaign to rewrite climate history.

Charging seismologists is ridiculous. We don't know enough about earthquakes to adequately predict them. Similarly, we don't know enough about climate to accurately predict them in spite of the self proclaimed climatologist ridiculous attempts to convince us otherwise. The most ignorant among us are those who don't understand how ignorant they are. Marxists liked to claim the mantle of science back in the 1800s when Karl Marx looked at budding democracy in America with hatred and revulsion. They have been doing so ever since.

Climate in Chile, China, and New Zealand prove it was a global event yet those with an agenda can't let facts threaten their Marxists agenda. I realize some people shy away from accusations of Marxism but in the interest of truth, it is important not to dance around the facts. We have these Marxists rampant in Obama's administration starting with the self proclaimed community organizer himself. If you refuse to identify your opponent, you will never win.
