What do you think of when I say, "Maryland"?

Is it different if I say, "Baltimore, MD"? Only answer if you've NEVER been there.

    Well I live on the west coast, and I couldn't even pick out Maryland on a map. And I doubt anyone else here could either. If I had to name all 50 states, I would probably not even remember it existed.

    I'm not ignorant about geography though, I could locate most countries in Africa, Europe, Asia, and South America on a map. Maryland is just not important.
