Why do people say there are no colleges that have paranormal studies courses in the US?

I found three in the US in about 5 minutes. They are Princeton University (yes THAT Princeton), Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research; University of Arizona, Center for Consciousness Studies; Duke University.

Most people probably state that there are no colleges with paranormal study courses in the USA due to ignorance. Usually such courses are not widely acknowledged though, and I believe that the Princeton research program has closed after a 25 year run. Another, less obvious topic to look for in college curriculum would be consciousness studies. That is where one would find the paranormal course taught by Dr. Modell, I think University of Colorado at Boulder is the school for him.

I had the comparable subject, very undesirable grades. I went to community college for a pair of years and after that, each and all the colleges have been scuffling with over me. i prefer to advise in case you prefer to pursue a profession interior the mystical to verify psychology or physics, and then once you earn your degree to bypass in that course. besides the undeniable fact that, there are no longer any authorized faculties like that interior the U. S.. do no longer think of when you consider which you probably did undesirable in severe college which you would be able to no longer do properly in college, its an entire diverse recreation. you ought to discover your a whiz at physics or psychology in college.

You're completely wrong about Princeton. PEAR was laughed off the campus years ago. Mostly because, after decades, they hadn't come up with anything.

Duke and some other schools offer a course or two, but it's not like there's a parapsychology department or a degree to be had.

You are exaggerating the facts here.

Plenty of colleges offer a class or two in it, mostly on the debunking side. However, no colleges offer degrees in paranormal studies. All the centers you have listed are not officially part of the university anymore; they have distanced themselves from those programs because they never produced anything. PEAR in particular never was associated with Princeton University - it's just in the town of Princeton.

There are plenty of places that have paranormal studies. They probably say there isnt any because the classes are often extracarriucular and you only take them because you want to, not because they will count for credit. Its easier and far cheaper to just join a paranormal club or even a paranormal group. You will get WAY more out of it than a college class, trust me.
