what could be causing my sons diarrhoea?

so my son is 4 years old, and today alone has had 8 bowel movements, that are like water ( he is not potty trained, a medical issue we are currently working on with his paediatrician) yesterday and the day before he had about 6 bowel movements but they weren't as running, they were loose but not as bad. ( he normally has 1 a day) he has NO fever, isn't acting sick, and says his tummy doesn't hurt! he is not a big eater as it is, so i haven't really noticed that. im just unsure if this is something i should take him to the clinic tomorrow? seeing how its not going away, or if its probably just a virus that has to pass through?

just a little not where i live we cant just call our dr. you can make an appointment usually 2 weeks from the time you call, or you go in as a walk in and wait any where from 6 -8 hours depending on the day.

Update:

jaS if i was asking for professional help i would be saying hey people on yahoo come check my child out to see whats wrong with him...no i asked if other parents ( who personally i think have the best advice they go through it too) could give me advice! im not going to sit in a dr office for 8 hours for him to say its a virus...not only is it a waste of my time but the other people who have real issues!

My daughter when she was 15 months had the same thing. Although that's younger then your son- it did turn out to be just a stomach bug. It lasted about 4-5 days. Then I had it! Ugh thst was the worst part lol.

But if he has no fever, no pain, then I'm pretty sure it's just a bug. If it doesn't go away in 4 days then I suggest a walk in clinic.

Just keep him well hydrated, lots of clear fluids and hold off on solid foods until the diarrhea subsides. If he starts to show signs of dehydration, by all means take him to the ER.
