02 Sunfire, Hard shift, "trac off" light on, stalls?
My 2002 Pontiac Sunfire 2200 mfi, automatic, has a really hard shift when the "trac off" comes on. The car stalls on take off. Next time I drive everything is normal. There is no check engine light or error codes set in the computer. Mechanic and dealer want to throw new sensors on it. But I want it fixed, It wont fail for them but today it left me stopped in front of a cop trying to clear an accident scene.

intermittent problems are some of the most difficult to find, Your choices are limited, either allow parts replacing which is obviously costly, or have a shop that you trust keep the car and allow their top D&D mechanic to drive the car for several days to find the problem, or purchase a data recorder like the Launch C Recorder II and then pay for the remote diagnostics.
