Stomach rumbles in lessons and exams...?

Does anyone else have this problem? It completely ruins my concentration because I'm always on edge that it's going to rumble!

I'm pretty sure it happens to everyone at some point but I can't help thinking other people in the exam are going to be like WTF.

It's not even because I'm hungry btw because I definitely eat enough.

Happens to me all the time! And then your neighbor gives you a "what the hell?!" look...so awkward, haha.

Sometimes I get this is class and stuff but I usually blame it on being hungry - (I'm always hungry) but when it rumbles I'm usually full rather than hungry !

It's really strange but sometimes it's because I need to go to the toilet :)

Apparently bananas help the digestive sytem which this is apparently related to.

The noises from your stomach are called borborygmi, and are due to contractions in your bowel wall called peristalsis, which are designed to move fluid and food along in your gut.

They are natural but they can be embarrassing!

Some foods create gas which causes this , usualy foods high in fibre like baked beans.

You may have gut spasms or bowel disfunctions. :l

It is either because you are hungry, because of nerves (people often get nervous if they think they are about to get a question asked) or if you excessively need to go to the bathroom.

It is likely caused by nerves, and is probably caused by mouth breathing &/or swallowing air. An OTC anti-gas remedy may help. A bit of candy or cough-drop may help, but be sure it is permitted.
