My fellow Jehovah's Witnesses, do you consider it an honour when apostates & opposers block us?!?
....even when they actually pose questions TO us?
I DO!!
When people who are well known for lying about us and our beliefs viciously attack us on this website pose questions to us, rant on and on and repeat the same old lies - then block us from responding - that says to me that they're not actually sincere or interested in hearing genuine replies, they just want a platform to rant their incorrect views to the world.
There's a well known opposer on this site, most of you know who he is. He frequently changes his screen name and frequently posts lies and insults us (then has the nerve to turn around and complain that his questions are being removed)
Over the last few days I have answered many of his questions fully. I have been respectful but blunt and pointed out that he has lied before and offered to back up my claim with evidence, however he has ignored that, other then commenting that "we are all liars." (I mean, ok, so it's all right to lie about a group of people because we're all" liars?)
Yesterday I answered another of his questions fully and refuted his lies - he responded by writing a long rant directed at me, calling me a "Parrot" amongst other insulting things - and then promptly blocked me from responding :D
I have thought it over and in fact I've come to the conclusion that it's an honour for such a person to want to block me, and an indication that I must be doing something right! I have continually defended our faith against lying claims like the stuff he writes and continually provided evidence that he has lied - so why should he want to block me, other then to try and silence me?
What do other Jehovah's Witnesses think? I remember one Witness on this site (no names because I don't want to embarass her but she's also well known, well liked and respected and I think she's awesome!!) who told me that we should consider it a PRIVILEGE when opposers have to block us, because we're actually doing our job of defending the truth (and defending Jehovah's name) too well!
Agape love to you all :D
John 8:32
edit: Any non-JWs who choose to answer this question please refrain from negative comments or insults, the usual stuff, "please stop knocking at my door etc etc..." this question is directed at my fellow Witnesses so please respect that. If you have any sincere questions regarding our faith feel free to email me privately!
Thanks :D
EDIT: @ kemist63
Thanks for your viewpoints.
An apostate is defined as someone who has turned their back on their faith - there are many of these on the Internet who make it their life's work to try to discredit Jehovah's Witnesses.
We absolutely DO follow Christ who by his own words in Matthew 18:15-17 told us to have nothing to do with such people.
EDIT: @ shawn
Thanks for your viewpoints.
We are not a cult, you might like to know, please read the definition of the word cult. Also our organization has never made false prophecies, please check your facts.
I can't speak for all my brothers and sisters but the majority of JWs on this website are friendly, respectful, and are more then willing to have a Bible based discussion with you about our beliefs.
I'm sorry if you feel offended at your religion being called a "whore" but it is actually the BIBLE'S words we use regarding false religion.
Hope that helps :D

On one level, I agree that it is an honor.
But on another level, I doubt that those who feel threatened by our answers can be the source of any honor.
People who censor others are usually afraid of something.
No doubt what is feared is simply the truth that loyal Witnesses express.
The whole exercise is useless, since the truth will get out anyway, and the truth will find its place in the hearts of those who love truth and who search for it.
Some who block us use dishonest and deceptive means.
They misuse the "Additional Details" to rant and spout their own bias, not to give additional information.
They use multiple accounts to give themselves "Best Answer" which is only what they want to put out in the first place.
Jehovah's Witnesses can honestly and Scripturally answer any question that is asked here.
I don't block anyone, and have no need to. I can evaluate the worth of other opinions and beliefs, and the mere expression of other opinions and beliefs does not put my own in any jeopardy.
I do ignore belligerent, insulting, and ranting posters. But I don't block them.
Freedom of expression is a beautiful thing when used responsibly.

lol. I only know one that has blocked me and I have blocked 3 but from a long time ago. The questions I answer mostly are not conflicting ones from the "exe" and opposers. I look for the sincere and ones that are "hungry". Then I even make a point of having a good time on here. You have some great answers though. We just need to be careful...you know sly like a serpent but gentle as a dove.

I always block apostates (and unreasonable opposers ) right back, they have nothing to say I have the least interest in. The brothers fine record of answering questions is a testimony to what we are and the truths we hold dear. And that the world can see!

I find them amusing, they are so ridiculous in their reasoning I can't help but be amused. I just recently been block by one that just started to attend meetings but then hit the blood issue and has gone over to ridiculing us. I showed him scriptural answers that exposed his faulty reasoning so he blocked me, he can't take the truth. He's like an ostrich, his head is in the sand but he's exposed by his remarks as ignoring scriptural advice because they don't fit with his lifestyle!
I really feel sorry for such ones that they are so easily overcome by Satan and their minds have been blinded(2 Corinthians 4:4).
They are like the seeds that fell among the thorns and the truth is choked out of them.
Shake the dust off your feet and move on for there are many that receive us with open arms and one of these out way 100 of the obstinate ones.
I guess one should feel honored when blocked by those that appose us but I just feel pity.

At Luke 6:22, Jesus pointedly said: "Happy are you whenever men hate you and whenever they EXCLUDE you and reproach you and CAST OUT YOUR NAME as wicked for the sake of the Son of man. Rejoice in that day . . . for those are the same things their forefathers used to do to the prophets. " First century detractors did the same thing. So it is no different today. So, yes, I feel a sense of honor when apostates and opposers block me. I am blocked by some well-know apostates and opposers - ones who constantly ask questions of Jehovah's Witnesses. They used to allow me to answer but apparently, did not appreciate my scriptural responses - although I was always respectful. This, of course, leads one to the inescapable conclusion that – as you mentioned – they do not want legitimate Bible answers. They do not even want answers with which they simply disagree. They want a public forum to rant about their hatred or dislike of Jehovah's Witnesses and they want that public forum visited by those who agree with them. They are not seeking information – they are seeking confirmation.
In these blocks and rants, Jehovah's name is being made known. And when the Sovereign Lord God Jehovah of Armies glorifies and sanctifies his name for all time, removing the reproach and disrespect heaped upon it all these millennia . . . well, won't that be just worth the wait? Yes, indeed, it will.

I have never blocked one of Jehovah's Witnesses. I believe in freedom of thought and freedom of speech.

I block JWs who lie, who don't accept private emails, who "punch and run" and are too cowardly to have a conversation via the internet about their beliefs, JWs who threaten me and who call my religion a "whore". I'm sure no matter what people say or what happens you will just view EVERYTHING, good or bad, as a priveledge. That is what makes you a cult member and completely blind to the truth about your false prophet religion. Even my words now will just make you feel like you have the "truth." But if I said the opposite, you would feel the same way. So it doesn't matter what anyone says or if they bring absolute proof, like in the case of false prophecies, it has been absolutely proven beyond all doubt that your church is a guilty false prophet and unrepentant at that.

Yes it's certainly a privilege.
They block us because they cannot stand our scriptural answers, and they want free reign to spout off their untruths & propaganda without us intervening.
You can usually spot them, they are the ones who ask a us questions & yet don't get many answers from us because many of us are blocked by them [proving the question wasn't genuine] They also rant in their additional comments & a few tend to insult us in an unchristian manner. There aren't many of them though, because many are the same person using different multiple accounts to give the illusion that there are more of them.
It's quite pitiful really

I wouldn't know who has me blocked, because they are likely the same ones that I have blocked & consistently ignore. Scripture says to 'shake the dust off your feet' upon leaving them, not to pursue, accuse, & offer proof that they are wrong---Notice:
". . . Wherever You enter into a city and they DO NOT receive You, go out into its broad ways and say, *‘Even the dust that got stuck to our feet from Your city we wipe off against You. Nevertheless, keep this in mind, that the kingdom of God has come near.’* I tell You that it will be more endurable for Sod′om in that day than for that city."---Luke 10:10-11 / Matthew 10:14
"These shook the dust off their feet against them and went to I·co′ni·um."---Acts 13:51
"But after they kept on opposing and speaking abusively, he shook out his garments and said to them: 'Let Your blood be upon Your own heads. I am clean. *From now on I will go* to people of the nations.'"---Acts 18:6
"And so, talking with boldness, Paul and Barnabas said: 'It was necessary for the word of God to be spoken first to You. Since You are thrusting it away from You and do not judge yourselves worthy of everlasting life, look! we turn to the nations.'"---Acts 13:46
The early Christians left off trying to reason with the Jews (and others) who did not have a desire to know God's truths. This is recorded for our benefit, for us to learn from their examples. How well we follow (or ignore) their examples, says a lot about us individually.
When was the last time a *spiritually mature* JW repeatedly visited & debated (or, bickered) with ANYONE about the truth of God's Word . . . ? Never . . . because *spiritually mature* JWs know better than to do that.
I find no honor in being shunned (or, blocked) by the likes of 'apostates & /or opposers', even though it may be one indication that I am doing something right. I am instead saddened by them, but not overly much. They have made their choice/s, as I have mine. There are *much better* ways of determining that I am doing right, and I *don't need their reactions* to my efforts to make me feel good about my relationship with God. Jehovah praises his true followers for doing the work we are commissioned to do---which is 'to find his lost sheep'---rather than to pursue those rebellious:
"Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended,
for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones."---Ecclesiastes 7:9
"...Some commercial firms enable subscribers using a computer and a telephone to send a message to electronic bulletin boards; a person can thus post on the bulletin board a message that is open to all subscribers. This has led to so-called electronic debates on religious matters. A Christian might be drawn into such debates and may spend many hours with an apostate thinker who may have been disfellowshipped from the congregation. The direction at 2 John 9-11 underscores Paul’s fatherly counsel about avoiding bad associations..."---1993 8/1 Watchtower, pg 17, par 10: "Let No One Spoil Your Useful Habits 1"
The scriptural job of JWs is to seek out & help those who are searching for scriptural truth,
*not* to focus on those who resist & rebel against it. Slanderous gossip is best overturned by the *ongoing good conduct* of its victim/s, rather than offering past proofs that it is wrong . . . http://watchtower.org/e/200708a/article_01.htm

You know what Magpie?
It's really amazing because yesterday I felt really downhearted after I was blocked by someone yesterday...it hurt me so much that I ended up deleting my membership.
and this morning I was laying in bed and thinking how fed up I am of getting the cold shoulder when I express faith in Jehovah and what His people do.
but I think it is helpful to recall how even jesus was despised for his faith and he also said that we would be objects of hatred on account of him.
so should we feel ashamed?
well it is normal to feel hurt but the important thing is to not let it crush our faith.
I know I get immense encouragement from association with god's people and even from you when you regularly Test your faith by keeping on talking about Jehovah on here even though people block and ridicule you.
but never let that stop you...my hope is that you will keep growing in faith and be able to encourage your brothers and sisters who may be feeling a little discouraged...sadly that does happen from time to time.
I know I often feel discouraged but something keeps me going.
this morning I was trying to imagine life without end and my brain could not handle it and yet that is just one of the priceless blessings even you will receive if you endure in faith and works till the end.
so please be determined to never let people drag you down and give Satan cause to mock Jehovah...instead be determined to make Jehovah's Heart rejoice.
and include Us in your Prayers that we may make Jehovah Glad too.
warm Regards
Drummerman
