In all seriousness, why are only Sarah Palin's emails being reviewed?
Shouldn't this be something that happens to politicians who were/are under ethics investigations like Charlie Rangel, Barney Frank or Maxine Waters?
So the reason they're reviewing these emails is because they can? This still makes no sense, what is the legitimate and intellectually-honest reason?

because they can
alaska has a very strong freedom and transparency in government laws
which let citizens review their government in action
the rest of the nation needs those laws
congress has no laws like alaska that's why those people are not checked into.

Under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), the person requesting the material has to pay the cost of copying, etc the material.
Every "media outlet" that has requested Ms. P's emails is paying roughly $729.00 (each!) for the privilege.
If you were willing to pay for the emails, you could get your own copy.
If you are willing to pay for Barney Franks or Charlie Rangel's emails, you would need to fill out a FO IA request and pay the money and you could have a copy.
EDIT: Pretty much. I think its because no reporter wants to get left behind if there is something hinky or juicy in there. Also, there just isn't that level of interest in Charlie Rangel.

Because someone wanted to see them, and the state of Alaska has very open freedom of information. All you have to do is ask in Alaska, and they will deliver.
Federal communications are protected as national security, and even if there is an ethics investigation, those communications are not released to the general public. There is a big difference in Federal and State laws when it comes to freedom of information laws.
Now Texas has different laws, so Bush Jr's communications and all of his papers as governor are sealed and will not be released.

Because she is an old fashioned Conservative and Libs absolutely despise old fashioned Conservatives. This whole media circus over someone who holds no political office and has not yet declared if she will run for one would be funny if it were not so sad and serious. Any day now I expect someone to go through her garbage and announce he found a scribbled note that reads 1 dozen eggs, a quart of milk and a bunch of carrots. Headline news - Is Palin a Vegetarian?

Palin's e-mails are government records available to anyone willing to pay for copies of them. The "review" is being done by private citizens, not by law enforcement......yet.

Our politicians are silent while this happens.
FINE.
Let's do it to all of them. It's time for transparency.
I'm not hypocrite.
I'm a Democrat. Do it to ALL of them, not just Sarah Palin.
Deal?

She is one of the few politicians that has millions of backers that do not fit into the NWO template. Hillary wants to be the world`s banker now.
