Source for "always burning but never consumed"?
Preachers are always saying that people in hell are always burning but never consumed. I need a real legitimate source for this quote, preferably from the bible or other religious texts. I am not interested in the burning bush.
Thank you all for answering. Several of you have quoted sources for the concept, but nobody has provided a source for the actual phrase "always burning but never consumed."

You need to look this up in a King James Bible, because the NIV and other newer versions omit this verse..
