Is there any proof that Obama is Christian as he states?

Not a shred of evidence imo. If his actions counter his claims, then something isn't right. I smell a phony.

EDIT: Questioning his FAITH has nothing to do with his RACE. You have to look historically at other Christian presidents like Regan and Bush--- their stance was corresponding with scripture. Obama's goes directly against what are pretty standard Christian principles. He's inexperienced president that is making huge errors in judgment.. and doing everything he can, even bending what are KNOWN Christian positions and policies around:

1) Abortion

2) Homosexuality

in an attempt to get votes. No other Christian president in history approved those policies.

Further..he hasn't done one thing for the black community. Not a thing. People believed he would bring about change, and that he has-- but the changes are foreign to Christian standards and completely catering to secular society. That's why you all pounced on the Christians that said ... there is NO proof. You like his stance....

RE: WHY DOES IT MATTER? BECAUSE HE CLAIMS TO BE A CHRISTIAN. THAT'S WHY. He has more credibility issues than that though! It's just one of many.

There are many that say they are Christians but fall short in some, many or a few areas. Some due to the lack of knowledge, some due to immaturity, some due to hypocrisy. How can one judge another man's servant? We know them by the fruit they bare. Love, peace, joy, gentleness, kindness, long-suffering, joy, patience, faith, temperance. Just how many things can this one man be? Not human, not a Citizen, not black or white, not fat, not patriotic, not aggressive and now not Christian. As presidents go I have seen only one that I would say was might look like a true follower of Christ and his name did not start with a B. Look at the fruit honestly.

Well no not a proper christian, i think hes sort of torn between Islam, and that crazy militant black guy church- which i don't think qualifies as christian; as all people are equal under god. Whereas that church promotes hatred of others. Im a British guy who has family in the states and i follow American politics quite closely. Personally i don't know what you yanks, or a lot of you anyway, were thinking when you voted for a socialist.

Just as Europe or at least Britain and several other European countries are moving away from socialism; you guys vote in Obama. Who is messing your great country up, like how this place has been messed up.Take it from me Socialism sucks, what we need is a return of a Thatcher/Reagan style transatlantic alliance to extinguish the flame of socialism for good. Vote Republican! We cant afford to lose another soldier :)

Is there proof for any politician? Being one automatically means being a liar. No president can tell the truth always for times require one to not say what is going on and to mislead his enemies for the greater good keeping people alive.

How can you proove other non church going Christians are Christians other than what they say. Stop focusing on one person. And if your talking about the abortion matter, some Christians actually believe thay human life doesn't start at conception( not me I'm against abortion , its a grave sin) but at birth.

What proof do you have that anybody is a Christian? Most of you go to church and pretend to believe in the ridiculous just like he does.

We just have to take people's word for it if they call themselves Christian. To the best of my knowledge there is no test available to prove one's Christianity.

Based on The President's conduct, I consider him to show the best of human values. I don't personally care what label he or anyone else puts on it. His deeds reflect the best values of Christianity.

I will give you a clue - Real Christians do not have anything to do with politics - at God's command.

I'm convinced that he's not a Christian or a Muslim.
